Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for providing management and general administration of DEI’s contracts, including modifications and contract closeout. In addition, incumbent will coordinate price proposal preparation, provide associated general management, and advise the technical staff regarding contractual issues.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain general administration of FFP, FFP/LOE, LH, T&M, and CPFF contracts and delivery orders, including modifications, and closeouts.

  • Provide support for price proposal planning, preparation, and problem resolution.

  • Analyze RFPs and prepare price proposals.

  • Coordinate and track contract schedule deadlines, progress, and cost status.

  • Prepare letters and other documentation required for proper contract administration.

  • Troubleshoot problems and resolve customer requests.

  • Plan, organize and implement short-term and long-term projects; coordinate with necessary staff to verify project time-lines and schedules.

  • Maintain proficiency in government contract law and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • BA/BS in business or a related field plus at between five and ten years of progressively responsible work experience administering contracts in the Federal marketplace.

  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and other bodies of law affecting government contracts.

  • Excellent command of English grammar with strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to compose, write, edit, and proofread a variety of internal and external business correspondence, contracts, proposals, and management reports essential.

  • Proficiency with word processing systems as well as ability to work with presentation, database, and spreadsheet software required.

Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Position is on the research staff of a not-for-profit government consulting organization headquartered in McLean, VA.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide IV&V services to the Government sector clients to support the management oversight of their information systems and programs. 
  • Perform a full range of IV&V assessments for the client to include IV&V of its Program Management program, its IT program (to include SDLC, risk, change management), and its quality assurance program. If IV&V of the client’s functional business process is included in the project, coordinate the availability of the appropriate functional resources for the assessment and oversee that portion of the project.  For each assessment finding, be able to provide practical recommendations.
  • May require extended onsite client support at government installations in the metropolitan Washington area. 
  • Support oral presentations/briefings to clients on IV&V results. 
  • Support efforts to improve DEI’s IV&V methodology.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor degree required. Graduate degree in management information systems, computer science, or related field is preferred.
  • Successfully passing a Government background check and the ability to receive a clearance if needed.
  •  Strong project leader experience required. PMP certification is a plus.
  •  Five or more years experience in supporting IV&V of information technology efforts.

Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Position is on the research staff of DEI, a private, not-for-profit management consulting organization located in McLean, VA that provides solutions to the federal government. This is an off-site position in Hanover, MD, in support of the National Security Agency (NSA) at Ft. Meade, MD.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This position is for a full-time experienced facility program quality control manager for a major new long-term NSA program. That program is for the NSA to modernize its power and cooling (P&C) infrastructure worldwide in order to meet its mission requirements. The person in this position will manage the quality control functions for the renovation and modernization of NSA’s current utility infrastructure and buildings worldwide, and the establishment of other facilities, such as cryptologic centers and new data centers.


Specific types of tasks include, but are not limited to:

  •  Work with the NSA staff and other contractors in the Program Management Office (PMO), which manages the P&C program.

  • Develop and maintain a quality control program for the design, construction, and ad hoc studies of the P&C program, and document it in standard operating procedures.

  • Develop and maintain a performance metrics program.

  • Interface with government and contractor management to attend meetings and provide general support and recommendations to maintain the quality of P&C projects, schedules, reports, and cost projections.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A current TOP SECRET security clearance with a full-scope polygraph is mandatory for this position. At a minimum, candidate will have a top secret clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) designation and be prepared to take the polygraph administered by the government.

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional quality control experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, operations research, business management or other relevant field.

  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, and of navigating web applications.

The work will require the ability to develop and apply cost estimating relationships and risk assessment methodologies.
